CHARACTER
Name: The Fifth Doctor
Canon: Doctor Who
Age: Working off a rough timeline (Four says he’s about 750 once, and Ten usually gives his as 900 and something), Five’s probably around 800 years old. Ish. Five looks much, much younger than this, though, about late twenties to early thirties, except for the eyes.
Timeline: Directly after The Five Doctors
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: N/A

So, Five here's mildly telepathic. Technically, he's also capable of mind melding and mind wipes, but it's extremely unlikely he would do so. In the event that seems like a probable option, I'll most likely ask you directly if it's alright. However, if you'd like to blanket reject those two options, reply here. His telepathy is normally surprisingly minimal, mostly akin to a 'sense' of what a person is like, which, again, reply here if you'd like to allow or disallow him to do so with your character.
More intricately, Five's got what I'll call Timey Wimey Senses. He can sense when things have gone wrong with time, and these are much more highly tuned than his telepathy. Typical uses include for noting when time's standing still, when an event is a Fixed Point (meaning it can't be changed at all), when there's a paradox, and even when time loops around. This means that if your character is subject to some kind of time travel related plot, it's very probable he may be able to find that out. As such, please reply here if your character has some variety of time screwery going on, and if so, if Five can pick up on it.

[ddd] Worldhops
Jan. 18th, 2012 05:28 pmFive has this thing called a TARDIS. Gives worldhops, makes a vworp noise, might've heard of it. The tricky bit is that the TARDIS runs on the powers of the plot. It doesn't send you where you want to go, it sends you where you need to be. Considering that one of Five's companions (Tegan) was originally prevented from returning to her own time period by these sort of shenanigans, it seems fair to me that this'd occasionally happen when Five gives worldhops.
Short version: If Five gives your character a worldhop, they might get dragged along on at least one adventure before they get where they want to go.
Now! This won't happen every time, and since this is opt in, if you want to just get from point A to point B with no fuss, just ignore this whole post.
If you want an adventure with Five (and who wouldn't), well, here's where things get exciting!
Just list:
Your name:
Your character(s):
How often they worldhop:
How urgently:
Level of plot involvement: Would you like a short plot, a long plot, or somewhere in the middle? Most Doctor Who serials are between 3-7 episodes, so it's like a choice between 3-7 different posts.
Level of risk: Scale of 1-10, how okay are you with Shit Getting Real?
That's it! If/when you want a TARDIS induced plot, we'll talk oocly about what should happen and then post it in 3-7 IC posts, mostly dialogue or video or whichever you like!
